statistic equation slope

Hey guys!. Ever since I have started statistic equation slope at school I never seem to be able to understand it well. I am a topper at all the other sections, but this particular section seems to be my weak point. Can some one assist me in understanding it easily?

There used to be a time when those were the only ways out. But thanks to technology today, we have something known as the Algebrator! It’s quite easy to use, something which even a newcomer would enjoy working on and the best part is that it would solve all your questions and also explain the steps it took to reach that answer! Hi, just a month ago, I was stuck in a similar scenario. I had even considered the option of dropping math and selecting some other course. A colleague of mine told me to give one last try and gave me a copy of Algebrator. I was at ease with it within few minutes. My ranks have really improved within the last year.
